Optifeed

Optifeed is a sensory premixture that stimulates feed intake in young animals, poultry, swine and ruminants (especially mineral blocks).

Optifeed is made up of different active ingredients and plant extracts, which combine to act on 3 levels:

Affinity: stimulating the animals’ orientation towards the feed and reducing the time between feed distribution and ingestion.
Appetite stimulation : activating the appetite message in the body.
Palatability : giving a pleasure flavour, so that feed is readily consumed.

Optifeed is the key to rapidly teaching young animals to eat their feed.

For which species ?

Chicks and pullets

It is crucial for chicks to rapidly eat, within the first few days after hatching. They must adapt to a new environment and cope with internal physiological changes, so guidance to the feed is essential for a successful start.

Poultry

Using Optifeed in mineral blocks for poultry make them more attractive and interesting: better use of mineral blocks for poultry (especially layong hens).

Calves and heifers

Weaning is a critical period for ruminant feeding (separation from the lactating cow, new environment, new solid feed). The young animal must be motivated to eat early enough and to continue in the best conditions.

Adult ruminants

Optifeed Ruminant is also effective in making mineral feed, including mineral blocks, more attractive, and in encouraging young and adult animals to consume them. The peripartum period makes feed intake difficult for dairy cows, and Optifeed Ruminant can motivate dry cows to eat sufficiently.

Piglets

At weaning, piglets must adapt to their new environment and diet. It is a crucial phase, during which they must rapidly begin to eat. The earlier the first feed is eaten, the more smoothly the cycle will continue.
